“Nature Through Trails” provides a proposal from Nature Trails Society for individual PACs and COPACS to financially support training SD#63 educators to deliver that middle-school curriculum through Saanich Schools. An alternative would be to begin developing curriculum for elementary and/or high school levels. This proposal builds upon the COPACS hosted event in February 2024 where the COPACs-funded nature wagons were demonstrated with children, followed by a panel discussion about current nature education practices. Next steps: NTS is offering a presentation to individual PACs who are interested in learning more. NTS could attend your next meetings in June or September. Please contact COPACS for more information.
